September 5-6, 2012: Manhattan and Overland Park, Kansas
On the eve of K-State’s Sustaining Kansas conference, E&EI joined Kansans for a discussion of the energy and economic challenges facing the Sunflower State. Bob led a discussion about free enterprise under true cost competition. On September 6, visited Johnson County Community College in Overland Park, near Kansas City, for a conversation with faculty and students about energy and climate policy.
Sustaining Kansas: 2012 Kansas Higher Education Sustainability Conference
The conference format is designed for three purposes for attendees:
- Learn more about and network with sustainability efforts around the state in higher education
- Learn about challenges to sustainability work in commerce, non-profits and advocacy, communities, and student life
- Engage others in renewing your commitment to sustainability work for the future of Kansas
The annual Sustaining Kansas conference is focused on helping attendees to find new avenues for leadership through higher education in contributing to a sustainable Kansas.
